Welcome to the TYLin ProjectWise Collaboration and Document Management Website.

ProjectWise is a suite of engineering project collaboration software from Bentley Systems designed for the architecture, engineering, construction industries serving as a Document Management System. The intent of this system is to provide a platform encouraging collaboration and security for projects and allow for a more dynamic method of control between documents. This system enables us to manage most document types such as CAD files, Microsoft Office Documents, images, aerial photographs, GIS data, point clouds, and project schedules.

ProjectWise Design Integration provides a secure environment where project information can be stored. Individuals can “checkout” a document, perform their modifications, and then “check in” the document. Although other ProjectWise users can read the document while the document is “checked out”, they will be unable to revise the document until it is “checked in”. This system dissuades duplication of work while ensuring users are looking at a single point to obtain their information. (No file duplication!)

• ProjectWise is the only project collaboration and engineering information management software developed explicitly for design and construction processes within architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) infrastructure projects. It provides scalable, industry-proven advantages in work-sharing, content re-use, and dynamic feedback.

TYLin manages multiple ProjectWise DataSource’s. When accessing a project please make sure you sign into the correct one.

• Select the “+” beside the desired Datasource.
  • This will automatically sign-in using your Bentley IMS account credentials.

Bentley CONNECTION Client:

What is an IMS Account?  The Identity Management System (IMS) account provides authentication to access Bentley resources.

Why is this necessary? To leverage the features of ProjectWise 365 Cloud services, you will need to have a registered IMS account.

How do Register?

If your organization currently has a Bentley Software Agreement, you most likely already have a IMS account. However, if you have not registered please use your company email address.

If your organization does not currently have a Bentley Software Agreement, you will need to install the CONNECTION Client and register using your company email address to create your IMS Account.

What is the CONNECTION Client?“ The CONNECTION Client is your gateway to Bentley’s cloud services, portals and analytics. Signing into the CONNECTION Client is a prerequisite to participate in CONNECT capabilities provided through your Bentley desktop applications (CONNECT Edition or V8i with CONNECT Services).

Do I need a Bentley Agreement to create an account?  No, but creating an account will also not provide you a license to ProjectWise or Bentley software. For ProjectWise, you will need to provide your own license or discuss with the TYLin PM for a license. For Bentley Software, you will need to contact Bentley.

PROJECTWISE 365 COLLABORATION:

TYLin is introducing the follow document sharing options for project Teams (user access needs to be setup by the ProjectWise Administrator):

A Bentley IMS Federated account is required to access ProjectWise 365 Collaboration.

Share – Facilitates the sharing of content between Team Members that are associated with a Project.

ProjectWise 365 – Lets you and your team collaborate on projects by securely sharing files and documents using a web browser. You can access ProjectWise Work Areas from your Design Integration common data environment.

ProjectWise Drive – Once setup, ProjectWise Drive will synchronize a project from ProjectWise Web Connections to your Windows File Explorer and you can instantly begin working on the documents in your project as if you were working on files and folders on your local file system on your desktop applications.
